Social Connection in Long-term Care Home Residents

UK Care Home Manager Meeting

Tuesday 17 January 2023

Remote

We met with a group of UK care home managers and presented our research so far. We were particularly interested in getting their views on the themes they consider important around social connection in care homes, as well as advice on recruiting residents with more severe dementia. We received constructive feedback about the themes we've extracted from our interviews so far and the discussion about recruitment presented us with aspects to further consider when obtaining informed consent and recruiting caregivers as consultees.
